How the two compare
Join It handles online signups, payments, member records, events and check-in, and it syncs payments to QuickBooks. Its digital membership cards go into Apple Wallet and Google Wallet with a QR code, starting on the Total plan.
Pricing and fees. Join It’s pricing page lists Starter at $29, Total at $99 and Extra at $199 per month (10% off yearly), with prices rising with member count. It adds a service fee on online payments and paid event registrations: 3% on Starter, 2% on Total and 1.5% on Extra, plus Stripe’s fees. There is a free trial but no free plan.
MPass doesn’t process payments at all, so there is nothing to take a cut of: members pay you the way they already do, and you activate their card. Wallet cards are included on every plan, free up to 50 cards, then $39 per month for 300 cards or $89 for 1,000.
If you want online dues collection and a member database in one tool, Join It does that and MPass doesn’t. If you mainly want every member to carry a current card on their phone, scanned at the door, with renewal reminders (Essential) and fee-free tickets, MPass costs less.

Yes. According to its pricing page and help center (October 2026), Join It’s digital cards go into Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, starting on the Total plan ($99 per month).
Does Join It charge transaction fees?
Its pricing page lists a service fee of 3%, 2% or 1.5% depending on the plan on online transactions, plus Stripe’s processing fees. MPass charges no fees because it doesn’t process payments.
Is there a free version of MPass?
