Why student unions move their membership card to the phone
Every September it is the same story: printing cards, laminating them, handing them out at a stand, and redoing the ones that get lost before Halloween. Students always have their phone, rarely their card.
With MPass, each member gets a card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in one tap, without installing an app. The card shows the academic year and the expiry date, and it changes by itself when you renew a member. At your parties, every ticket has its own QR code, so a screenshot shared in a group chat only gets in once.

Frequently asked questions
Is it free for a small student society?
Yes. MPass is free for up to 50 active cards or tickets, with no time limit. Larger unions use Essential (300 cards) or Pro (1,000 cards and Excel import).
Do students need to download an app?
No. The card goes into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, which are already on their phone. They open your link and tap “Add”.
Can partner shops check the card?
Yes. They see the member’s name, the tier and the expiry date on the card. An expired card shows its end date clearly.
Does MPass take payment for memberships or party tickets?
No. Students pay the union directly, by transfer, payment link or cash. MPass only issues and checks the cards and tickets.
